Course Format

Designed to be the premier IT management degree for working professionals, we do our best to ensure the program is manageable and flexible for adult students. We understand that at times work life, school life and home life overlap. The distance format gives students the ability to allocate their school time around other demands. Our faculty is cognizant of working students' needs and we expect our distance instructors to make reasonable accommodations as life situations arise.

Characteristics of our distance delivery include:

  • Same courses & instructors as on-campus - classes filmed on-campus so you can be assured you are receiving the same timely, high-quality education as our campus students.
  • Just In Time Learning CDs - featuring keyword searchable video lectures, transcripts, indexed PowerPoint slides and associated course materials.
  • State-of-the-art Learning Management System - Blackboard creates a virtual classroom experience, as well as provides central access to all of your course websites.
  • Integrity of the program is ensured through the use of proctored exams. When a proctored exam is required, distance students may take the exam on-campus in Pittsburgh or provide an Exam Proctor who will administer the exam at the student's location.
